The Maternal and Child Health Student Organization (MCHSO) hosts an annual symposium that aims to bring students, faculty, staff, and community members together to discuss issues that impact women, children, and families. MCHSO has hosted this symposium for more than a decade. Over time, symposium attendees have networked, increased their awareness of emerging issues, and increased their foundational knowledge of core concepts in maternal and child health.
During the symposium, there are a variety of sessions that highlight the need for interdisciplinary practice and why it is important to work within communities and systems. By participating in the symposium, attendees will learn more about the field of public health; network with public health researchers, practitioners, and advocates; and demonstrate mastery of competencies recognized in their own discipline.
Join MCHSO for the 13th Annual Symposium in Spring 2022. Speakers and panelists at this event will explore how a shared vision for health equity is necessary to address the unique challenges for maternal and child health globally. More details to follow in the coming months.
