The USF Center of
Excellence in Maternal and Child Health Education, Science, and Practice
present monthly seminars on leadership and key MCH issues to offer an array of
MCH training opportunities for students and health professionals of all levels,
to further their education and skills development.
The Leadership Seminar Series provides an opportunity to gain additional knowledge, skills, and values in public health leadership from experts, distinguished faculty, and leaders in the field. Examples include the philosophy of leadership, challenges of leadership, lessons learned, and opportunities for professional development. Attendees will be exposed to leadership competencies nationally recognized in MCH Leadership Competencies 4.0 and from the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
The seminars on key MCH issues are presented to reinforce the MCH Leadership Competencies, which include Translational Research & Evaluation, Health Literacy, Conflict Resolution, and Cultural Competence.
