Biography
Joe Bohn, PhD, MBA, is a doctoral graduate from the University of Louisville
(UofL) School of Public Health (2016) with concentration in health management
and systems sciences and an MBA from UofL in 2006. Dr. Bohn's work history
spans healthcare system transformation (via EHR implementation and
adoption), business development for two Dept of Defense contractors (one
small R&D company and a large Fortune 500 company), and 6 years with the US
Navy civil service in congressional affairs and budget administration. The last
6 years (2010-early 2016) was spent as an entrepreneur (and PhD student) in a
healthcare writing practice that produced 10 multi-author books covering topics
ranging from healthcare transformation, technology, legal, mental health,
global health, consumer engagement, physician and network leadership.
Teaching and research interests are in examining the many opportunities to
leverage systems thinking and complimentary theories and concepts to improve
the operations and efficiency of public health, healthcare and mental health
systems (public / private / academic).
