All online
courses at the USF College of Public Health are designed using the ADDIE
framework. ADDIE is an instructional systems design (ISD) framework used by
instructional designers and training developers to develop effective courses.
The name is an acronym for the five phases it defines for building training and
performance support tools:
-
Analysis
- Design
- Development
- Implementation
- Evaluation
When developing or revamping an online course, an instructional designer
will work with faculty to ensure that all elements of the ADDIE framework have
been implemented into each course.
