Military and Veteran’s Affairs

The USF College of Nursing has a strong history of support for our service members, veterans, and their families through the development of innovative veteran-centric programs and partnerships.  We have led research, practice, and educational initiatives focused on improving the health and transitioning needs of our service members, veterans, and military families both in our community and within the College of Nursing.  With the appointment of a Chief Officer of Military and Veteran Affairs, the College of Nursing will continue to focus on identification, development, and implementation of initiatives that support the goals of the College of Nursing in maximizing its outreach to these communities of interest.

We will continue to expand upon our strategic vision for collaboration with the Department of Defense, the Veteran Health Administration, and veteran service organizations across the state and nation to develop community and global partnerships to assist with the expansion of opportunities for nursing students, staff, and faculty at the undergraduate and graduate level as well as through development of veteran focused continuing professional development.

On behalf of the College of Nursing, we are grateful to those within our college, our community, and across the Nation who have served in the Armed Forces and for the families who support them on the home front.  Thank you for your service and sacrifice. Reach out to Dr. Alicia Rossiter for additional information.
