Advanced Practice Provider Neurosurgical Fellowship

In partnership with the USF College of Nursing, the Department of Neurosurgery and Brain Repair has established the first Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship at USF. This program is a one-year program designed for individuals who have completed their APRN or PA Degree, and are looking to advance their training in the diagnosis, management, and follow-up care for patients with neurosurgical disorders. 

Throughout the course of the year, fellows will receive advanced clinical training in outpatient clinics, inpatient care, and neurosurgical intensive care units in the Tampa Bay Area. Fellows will work alongside Neurosurgical APRNs and faculty members of the Department of Neurosurgery to ensure comprehensive, hands-on training in the various sub-specialties of neurosurgery including: cerebrovascular, spinal, functional, neuro-oncology, and endovascular neurosurgery.

To provide Advanced Practice Provider Fellows a specialty focused transition-to-practice opportunity to develop into global leaders in caring for the neurosurgical patient population.

Led by a world class team interdisciplinary team USF Health Advanced Practice Provider Neurosurgical Fellowship will provide the optimum transition-to-practice environment for advanced practice providers to expand their knowledge, develop clinical expertise and focused critical thinking and employ evidence-based care for the neurosurgical population.
