Diversity Of Training

We train in three very different settings: a top Florida tertiary care center, a national comprehensive cancer center, and one of the largest VA hospitals in the country.

Tampa General Hospital, is one of the largest hospitals in Florida, with over 1,000 beds, and is the primary teaching hospital for the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. TGH is the region’s leading safety net hospital, committed to providing patients excellent and compassionate care. US News & World Report has highly ranked several medical specialties: Cardiology, Endocrinology, GI, Nephrology, and Pulmonary.

Moffitt Cancer Center is one of 27 national cancer institutes in the country participating in the NCCN and the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Florida. Moffitt Cancer Center continues to rank in the top 10 Best Hospitals for Cancer in the US News & World Report.

The James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital, is one of the 3 busiest VA Hospitals in the nation. A leader in cutting edge innovations in healthcare and quality, the JAHVA has received the VA National Center for Patient Safety Cornerstone Award. Our Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Chiefs operate out of the JAHVA and educate medical students and residents rotating with them about quality improvement.
