Why USF? I rotated here as an AI my 4th year and immediately felt the family atmosphere. The residents are not just coworkers; they were also friends. The faculty is amazing with a wide breadth of specialties and they all take time to teach while pushing you to be better. As an added bonus, the facilities are beautiful and it’s awesome to have a beach close by on an off day!
Something about you: When I’m off, I enjoy the outdoors, especially trap/clay shooting and bird hunting. I also brew my own beer.

Why USF? I was fortunate enough to rotate through this program early in third year and immediately resonated with the excellent faculty. They guided me throughout my clinical years and I had no doubt USF is where I wanted to train. The supportive faculty, beautiful hospital, and a diverse patient population made the decision easy.
Something about you: I went to high school in Pakistan after growing up in Florida. I lived there for 4 years until coming back home for college.

Hobbies: Anything having to do with the water (sailing, diving, swimming). Snowboarding, Running, hiking, and being social.
Why USF? The thing they stressed during interviews and what I have already experienced is the sense of family. I didn’t just join a residency program but I also gained a family which fosters a very positive learning environment. Not to mention Tampa is amazing, weather is awesome, and the Tampa General Hospital ED has fantastic facilities.
Something about you: I am an Eagle Scout and was an avid water polo player in highschool and college.

Why USF? After spending a month at TGH during my 4th year, I instantly fell in love with the hospital, the beautiful city, and all of the amazing people that make up the residency program.
Something about you: Back in the day I played college football making me a HUGE BAYLOR fan. Sic ‘Em Bears!

Why USF? The combination of a highly respected academic Emergency Medicine residency program in a culturally vibrant, beautiful, and warm city made USF a perfect fit for me.
Something about you: I was born and raised in Dubai, UAE before migrating to Florida in 1999. I was an Emergency Room/trauma registered nurse for 3 years prior to pursuing a career in medicine.

Why USF? Top-notch, well-established program that continues to push the limits of the individual and team. Not to mention the fantastic leadership, family atmosphere (my class is a unit), the potential to snook-fish from the Heli-pad, and it’s home. There’s also a pirate ship tied up outside our ED...
Something about you: If I’m off, I’m probably outdoors doing something that justifies having health insurance.

Why USF? The attendings and residents are excellent teachers, the facilities are amazing, the hospital is on the water, and sunshine and beaches are a way of life. What’s not to like? I am from the area and I have Tampa Bay water in my blood, so when I saw how great the training is at USF I knew I wanted to come here.
Something about you: I raced motocross throughout high school, and because of that got to see inside of All Children’s Hospital firsthand.
