Why USF? USF EM had everything I wanted in an EM residency program: level 1 trauma, regional burn center, peds ER, great people (residents, attendings, nurses), and overall great place to live and work.
Something about you: I'm a born-and-raised Florida girl who grew in up the beautiful Bradenton/Sarasota area (best beaches in the world), relocated to the Swamp for undergrad (Go Gators!) and came to Tampa for my master's and medical school. I'm a former microbiologist (yes, I have my own microscope at home...) and former IM resident who loves the outdoors, hates the cold, and can't wait to follow in my dad's footsteps as an EM doc :)

Why USF? USF EM catapulted to the top of my rank list because I decided I wanted to train in a high-volume urban environment that would push me to my limit on every shift. Emphasis on ultrasound training, simulation, and global outreach showed me that my interests would be supported by the faculty. Fellowship opportunities enhanced by unique partnerships in government and industry provided me further reassurance of superior training and prospects as a future attending physician. The offer to learn my craft from veteran clinicians was one that I couldn't decline!
Something about you: I've been to the summit of nearly every major peak of the Green Mountain range.

Why USF? I rotated as a visiting student and loved it from the first moment. The residents seemed happy and I felt that I fit in. I felt that the diverse patient population and acuity would prepare me well.
Something about you: I eloped in Telluride, CO. We said our vows on a chairlift, during a blizzard.

Why USF? Most down to earth people that seemed like they worked hard, but played hard and always made time for their families. Residents just seemed so happy, both professionally and personally.
