Graduate Medical Education

Welcome to USF Health!!!

Incoming Residents and Fellows

Dates and information about the onboarding and orientation processes for USF and affiliated hospitals are sent by email to incoming fellows in late February and to incoming residents soon after the Match each year. If you are an "off-cycle" incoming resident or fellow, meaning your program does not start on July 1, please contact the GME Office for further instructions.

Incoming trainees will be invited to participate in two important events prior to July 1:

  • Virtual Orientation – takes place in late June. Invitations are sent by email to incoming residents and fellows.
  • GME Check-ins – several dates are planned for the last 2 weeks of June and July 1 for the GME check-ins which take place on the USF campus and require approximately ½ - 1 hour. Check ins provide an opportunity to complete N95 FIT testing, pick up lab coats, ID badges, pagers, and complete any outstanding paperwork.  Additional departmental orientations may be required - check with your program administrator.

All of the information and documentation that is required by USF in order to start work will be shared through our New Innovations portal.
