Digital Signage Installation

Description

USF Health IS provides setup of new digital signage, which has both a hardware component (a flat panel monitor and a computer), as well as a software component (required software license). IS provides installation of the equipment and assistance with initial configuration of the software.

Digital signage can be used to advertise an event or departmental information. Content used for departmental information is created and maintained by the individual department. Digital signage also plays a role in public safety. IS provides integration to new, approved digital displays with USF's central emergency communication application. This allows for digital displays to show official announcements during an emergency.

Digital displays come in various sizes and require a Space Impact Request approval from the Facilities department. Once approval is received, a Facilities department project manager and a member of IS will conduct a site visit to assess requirements and generate a quote for installation, equipment, and/or wiring.  Digital signage also requires on-going licensing fees for necessary software.

Charge

​Charges for this service will be determined after the scope of the request has been assessed by IS. There are licensing fees and hardware costs related to setup of the digital signage system.

Availability

This service is generally conducted during normal business hours Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, but the digital signage system runs all the time outside of system updates.
