Resetting your USF Health Password


Resetting your password is just one of those nuisances that we all must go through as much as we would like to avoid the inevitable. Resetting your password time to time helps with computer privacy and reduces the risk of a unwarranted security breach. Certain security settings may even require you to modify your password to specific complexity or length requirements. At USF Health, you may want to change your USF Health (HSCNET) password for many other reasons such as:

  • You've forgotten your password.
  • Your password's integrity has been jeopardized.
  • Your password has expired or will soon expire.
  • You don't like your current password.
  • Enforcement from the domain level.

Listed below are multiple ways you can change your USF Health (HSCNET) password using a Web Browser, Windows PC computer, or Outlook.

Resetting Your USF Password Using A Web Browser

  1. Click here to go the Password Reset Page or type the following URL into your web browser's address bar: https://hsccf.hsc.usf.edu/authenticate
  2. Log on using your USF Health Username and Password.
  3. Click Logon.
  4. Type the required information. 
  5. Click Submit.

Note: your password must contain:
  • 8 character minimum length
  • One or more characters from any three of the following classes:
    • English uppercase characters (A through Z)
    • English lowercase characters (a through z)
    • Numeric characters (0 through 9)
  • Non-alphabetic characters ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ = + | [ ] { } ; : / ? . < >

Please Note: For security purposes, you will be required to provide the name of your elementary school and the 4-digit pin selected when your account was created in order to reset your password. If you do not remember the Elementary School and 4-digit PIN you added to the system, please contact the help desk at 813-974-6288 for further assistance.

Resetting Your USF Password Using your Windows PC that requires an HSC Account Login

  1. HSCNET Login ScreenshotSimultaneously, press the Control, Alt, and Delete keys on your Windows PC’s keyboard.
  2. On the Windows screen, click the Change a Password option.
  3. Type your (see image):
    1. Login Information (if required)
    2. Old/Current Password
    3. New Password (twice for confirmation). For password requirements, refer to the guidelines above.
  4. Click the Arrow/Continue button or press the Enter key on your keyboard when you are done

Please Note: You will not be required to provide the name of your elementary school and the 4-digit pin selected when your account was created in order to reset your password using this method.

Resetting Your USF Password Using Outlook Webmail

  2. Log in using your existing USF Health (HSCNET) Username and Password.
  3. Click the Options tab (see image).
  4. Click the Change Your Password option.
  5. Type your:
    1. Current Password
    2. New Password (twice for confirmation). 
  6. Click the Save button
