USF Health Panama is eager to help your organization plan and execute service activities in Panama. USF Health Panama is affiliated with rural communities, government organizations and non-profit organizations throughout the country, providing a variety of opportunities in virtually any arena for your service project interests.
Among a variety of service organizations which USF Health coordinates, USF Health Panama works closely with student organizations such as the USF International Health Service Collaborative (IHSC). This integrated group of 25 graduate students from the USF Health Colleges of Medicine, Public Health, Nursing and Pharmacy participate in a service-learning, week-long experience in the rural communities of Panama. The organization adopts a rural community in Panama to deliver health education and health screenings alongside of local Panamanian health care practitioners, as well as conduct needs assessments to help build community infrastructure, including building latrines, renovating impaired schools and water quality testing and management to name a few.
