Ambassadors for advancing the future of health

Building a culture of philanthropy at USF Health is critical to advancing the work we do to make life better for our patients and community.

To that end, the Office of Development and Alumni Relations launched the USF Health Philanthropy Champion program to recognize and empower faculty and staff to advance the future of health through our core pillars of research, education and patient care. This program is open to anyone who works at USF Health.

USF Health Philanthropy Champions are selected by:

Those who complete the program will receive a USF Health Philanthropy Champion pin and certificate, and we will send a note of recognition to USF Health leadership sharing your Philanthropy Champion status. USF Health Philanthropy Champions are encouraged to promote their achievement on their individual social media accounts and email signatures.

Ways faculty and staff can collaborate with USF Health Development and Alumni Relations

  • Serve as a USF Faculty & Staff Campaign volunteer for your college, school or department
  • Volunteer in a USF Health fundraising or alumni event
  • Refer names of potential donors to your assigned development officer
  • Host a donor (past or potential) for a visit or tour
  • Consult in advance with USF Health Development on a grant application for private funding (not considered sponsored research) 
  • Complete USF Health endowed fund impact reports for your department or fund on deadline
  • Provide a story idea to Health Development Communications on the impact of donor funding in your department
  • Partner with your development officer in sending out a fundraising letter
  • Become a USF Health Development social media ambassador
