ACU is a nonprofit, transdisciplinary organization of clinicians, advocates, and health care organizations united in a common mission to improve the health of America's underserved populations and to enhance the development and support of the health care clinicians serving these populations.
Since 1981, the Florida Association of Community Health Centers, Inc. (FACHC) has been the leading state advocate for community-based health care programs. Focusing on Florida's Federally Qualified Community Health Centers, the Association plays a vital role in educating federal, state and local policymakers about issues relating to health care and the role of the health centers. The primary mission of FACHC is to improve access to quality health services by bringing together agencies, legislators and key persons able to affect health care services.
The Mission of the Migrant Clinicians Network is to positively impact the physical, mental, and environmental health of Migrants and other mobile, underserved populations.
Migrant Health Promotion builds on community strengths to improve health in farmworker and border communities. Its programs provide peer health education, increase access to health resources and bring community members together with health providers, employers and policymakers to create positive changes. Community leaders, called Promotores and Promotoras, provide the inspiration, direction and vision necessary to build stronger, healthier communities - from within.
The National Association of Rural Health Clinics (NARHC) is the only national organization dedicated exclusively to improving the delivery of quality, cost-effective health care in rural under served areas through the Rural Health Clinics (RHC) Program.
The National Center for Farmworker Health (NCFH) is dedicated to improving the health status of farmworker families by providing information services and products to a network of more than 500 migrant health center service sites in the United States as well as other organizations and individuals serving the farmworker population.
