Shipping Biohazardous Materials:

Those personnel who ship and/or receive potentially infectious biological agents are required to complete this course biannually. This is computer-based training that takes about 3 hours to complete.

HIPPA Education:

Please Note: These Web-based HIPAA courses cannot be used to meet the USF IRB requirement for education in human subject protections.

For Health Sciences Center:

HIPAA education is mandatory for USF Health Sciences Center (HSC) faculty, staff, students, residents, and fellows who are in the USF Covered Health Care Component.

If you are required to complete HIPAA education for the USF Health Sciences Center, you must go to their Web Site to complete it: HSC Official USF HIPAA Education.

Your HSC HIPAA Certificate of Completion will be available two days after you complete the HSC education. If you have any questions or problems with the HSC HIPAA training, please contact the HSC Helpdesk at (813) 974-6288.

For All Others:

If you are not within the USF Health Sciences Center (HSC), we recommend that you complete the following two HIPAA education modules.

If you will need certificates of completion, please print out a copy of each completed quiz to serve as your certificates. Completed quizzes are not saved by this Web Site and our office does not receive, score, track, or record HIPAA quizzes or certificates. For non-HSC HIPAA education, it is entirely up to the individual participant to complete the quizzes and to retain copies for their own records.
