Welcome to Education and Training
CTSI strives to promote a “translational continuum” of medical research enabling smooth transition between the discovery, evaluation and implementation phases of scientific inquiry. The USF Scholars in Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR) program provides all the elements required to meet the needs of a new clinician investigator in patient-oriented research. The curriculum can be completed in a reasonable time leading to Masters of PhD degree. The combination of coursework and research experiences provided will create a competent and successful clinical researcher. For the purposes of this program, clinical research includes: patient-oriented research, epidemiologic and behavioral studies, and outcomes or health services research.
