Conflict of Interest Committee

It is the primary charge of the USF Health COI Committee to review financial interest disclosures of investigators who are employees of USF Health or who are conducting human subjects research under the auspices of the University and to develop appropriate safeguards and/or review proposed management plans to ensure that the disclosing investigator's financial interest will not bias the design, conduct or reporting of the research project.

The Committee also oversees the conflict of interest in research provisions of the USF Health Conflict of Interest and Commitment policy and fulfills the University's ethical obligations, in coordination with the IRB, to identify and consider conflicts of interest that might affect the relationship with human subjects participants in research or the outcome of the research, and to manage those conflicts.
