College of Public Health
The University of South Florida College of Public Health (COPH) undergraduate program is designed to give students the education they need to succeed in the ever-expanding Public Health profession.
With both a major and a minor available, opportunities to study abroad, and interdisciplinary approaches to transformational research, COPH is the perfect place for public health students to thrive and nurture their passion.
Public Health is a field that requires compassion, dedication, and determination to make every day a safer one.
I never imagined I would even be here. When I was given the opportunity to obtain a higher education, I wasn’t sure if I could do it. I was intimidated to even take a tour of COPH. But, after speaking with a few alumni and academic advisors I was assured that I am in the right place. After my first orientation, I remember thinking to myself that this place feels like home already. Without question, the COPH has helped me to succeed by providing valuable academic support.
On November 6, I presented my research titled “Role of Baby Boxes in Lowering Infant Mortality Rate” at the Delta Omega poster session during the American Public Health Association meeting in Atlanta. In fact, I am the first and only undergraduate student ever to have presented in this capacity. It was an honor to represent USF and the College of Public Health! After graduation, I plan to continue my education and earn a Masters in Public Health from the University of South Florida.
