Welcome to the Department of Health Policy and Management!

Our educational programs prepare managers, policy analysts, and researchers for leadership positions in health and health-related organizations for both public and private sectors. The department offers MPH, MHA, and Ph.D. degree programs, as well as two graduate certificates

Master of Public Health (MPH)
The MPH is a professional degree program and students can choose from three concentrations (Health Care Organizations and Management; Health Policies and Programs; and Public Health Administration). The Concentration in Health Policy and Programs emphasizes important public policy decisions that advance population health.

The MPH concentration in Public Health Administration and the Graduate Certificate in Health Policy and Programs can be completed through on-line courses. Public Health Administration students must come to USF Tampa for a one week seminar which is not available online.

Master of Health Administration (MHA) (CAHME accredited)
The MHA (Master of Health Administration) is designed for students who plan to pursue senior management positions in health services.

Ph.D. in Health Services Research (Ph.D)
The Ph.D. program prepares students for health services research careers.

Whether you want to become a skilled manager, policy analyst, or researcher, all are needed in public health and health services. Professional opportunities for graduates are diverse and growing. Our applicants have varied backgrounds such as health professions, business, social and behavioral sciences, life sciences, and physical sciences. Please contact us for more information.

Dr. Meghan Borysova named 2013 Health Equity Leadership Institute Scholar
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Collaborative Center for Health Equity in partnership with the Maryland Center for Health Equity in the School of Public Health selects Meghan E. Borysova, PhD, as a Scholar for their 4th annual Health Equity Leadership Institute (HELI). The event is held in June. Dr. Arthur Williams finds Cancer Module can be used to assess and evaluate psychological interventions in pediatric cancer patients
