Bio
As a health economist, Sheri Eisert, PhD has been conducting health services research for 20 years. During this time she has been awarded over $10 million in funding from various federal agencies such as NIH, AHRQ, CDC, and the VA. Most recently her research focus applies health economic principles to health policy, particularly related to pediatric and adult infectious disease and health outcomes. Prior to joining USF in 2012, Dr. Eisert was an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and Director of Health Services Research at Denver Health, a large, integrated urban safety net heath care system, after receiving her PhD in Economics from the University of Washington. She has published in numerous journals such as Pediatrics, JAMA, American Journal of Public Health, Annals of Internal Medicine and American Journal of Preventive Medicine.
