Students completing this certificate will develop a deeper understanding of the health and medical related research practices, and increase their background qualifications to analyze health and clinical research data related to medicine and the health sciences appropriately. This program will provide students with an understanding of the concepts and the technical tools to analyze health related data appropriately. This certificate program will meet and surpass the needs of many of the health, biological and related programs across the University that requires one or two statistics courses. At the same time the students in this certificate program will gain a solid analytical background for future research and employment prospects in the medical and health fields.

Prerequisites

Completion of the Graduate Certificate Departmental Approval Form, the Graduate Certificate Enrollment Application, a transcript showing previous completion of a Bachelor's degree, and a personal statement of interest are needed to apply. For international students, a copy of their degree that is equivalent to the Bachelor's degree along with a certified copy of their transcript is required. Graduate students from the College of Public Health are exempt from the above requirements except for the Departmental Approval Form.

Application of Certificate Courses Towards Graduate Degree
Up to 12 credit hours may be applied contingent upon departmental approval.
Registration Process for Individual Courses
Follow the accepted procedure for graduate level courses.
Time Limit for Completion of Certificate
Courses must be completed in nine (9) semesters.
