Over the last few years the College of Public Health has seen significant expansion in its research and academic space. COPH Faculty, staff and students are located in six buildings on and around campus, such as the main COPH building, the Lawton & Rhea Chiles Center, the Northeast Educational Complex, the USF Health/Children's Medical Services Building, the William "Doc" Myers Tampa Branch Laboratory, and the Interdisciplinary Research Building in the USF Research Park.

The standard hours of operation for the College of Public Health are Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. During academic semesters, the building is open until 9:00 P.M. Monday – Thursday.
With an approved Sonitrol cards, degree-accepted students can access the College of Public Health facility and its resources as follows:

USF COPH Facilities Resource Summary
In the main College of Public Health building, a total of approximately 48,500 square feet of assignable space that supports the College academic, research and training programs. Within the building, there are 11 classrooms, ranging in size from 15 to 150 seats. These 11 classrooms are equipped with ceiling mounted HD projector systems networked to the College's IT systems. Three adjoining auditoriums can be opened to house up to 450 people for major classes, presentations, or conferences. There are 6 conference rooms that are available for seminars and events. The Lawton & Rhea Chiles Center building, home to the Department of Community & Family Health and the Lawton & Rhea Chiles Center for Healthy Mothers & Babies, provides over 10,000 assignable square feet of academic and research space, including an additional two conference rooms frequently used to support seminar, class, and other training sessions. Faculty researchers from the Department of Global Health and the Center for Biological Defense occupy almost 17,000 asf of modern office, laboratory space, classroom room and conference room facilities. The adjacent Northeast Educational Center provides additional office and lab space for faculty researchers in the Department of Environmental & Occupational Health. College of Public Health faculty, staff and students have also recently moved into modern office and research space in two recently completed buildings on the USF campus, the USF Health Faculty Office Building and the USF Health/Children's Medical Services.
As part of USF Health, faculty, staff and students have access to wireless networking capabilities within all COPH facilities. The College also currently has multiple classrooms designed with network and power connections available at each seat. To support our educational mission and enhance the learning environment for our faculty and students, the College's classrooms will undergo a renovation project during Spring 2011 that will significantly enhance the educational technology located in our classrooms. Students are assured ample space and resources in the college. The College maintains an open-use computer lab and has designated lounge facilities for its graduate students.
The College of Public Health offers two computer labs that serve as both classroom and individual computer work stations. The teaching classroom has 46 workstations that are upgraded biannually and are designed for use in organized classes as well as special seminars and has proven to be a valuable resource for those interested in developing questionnaires, data collection, data entry, and statistical analysis. The second laboratory has 37 work stations and is an open-use student lab, available to COPH graduate students to use as needed to support their academic needs. With both basic and specialized software and connections to networked printers, these labs are regularly used and an important resource for our students.
Within the primary College of Public Health building
there are 17 Research Labs that support research in environmental health,
industrial hygiene, water and air quality, immunology, toxicology,
parasitology, risk management, ergonomics, heat stress, occupational safety,
infectious diseases and microbiology.
The William "Doc" Myers Tampa Branch Laboratory, home to the Florida Department of Health, is physically located on the USF campus and offers a unique public-public partnership between the academic and applied aspects of disease surveillance, detection, and prevention.
The most recent addition to the College's research and training laboratory capabilities reside in the Interdisciplinary Research Building, located in the USF Research Park. In the IDRB, the College has placed its internationally recognized Global Health Infectious Disease Research Program. With over 20,000 sf of state of the art laboratory facilities, College faculty and their research teams have access to the university's only insectary and a supporting BSL-2 vivarium; a BSL-3 suite; and a number of BSL-2 research laboratories and shared laboratory support space and training lab space.
