Welcome to the College of Public Health Faculty Affairs website!

The Faculty Affairs team provides assistance to COPH faculty,  primarily in the areas of recruitment, appointment, pay, attendance and leave, benefits and professional development. Our goal is to help every faculty member in the College of Public Health to have a positive work experience while realizing their professional goals. Our team is committed to excellence in customer service, creative problem solving and innovative and efficient work processes. We are committed to creating a mutually supportive team that is known for its respectful, caring and ethical treatment of all individuals who seek our services.

Paula N. Knaus, MA

Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs  

paula knausMs. Knaus received her Master of Arts in Business Administration at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Ms. Knaus has over 35 years of experience at a professional level in the field of Human Resources. Since her arrival at USF in 1982, Ms. Knaus has served in many leadership roles, including Associate Vice President for Human Resources, Vice President for Human Resources and Diversity, Associate Vice President for Faculty and Staff Affairs for USF Health, Associate Dean for Faculty and Staff Affairs in the College of Medicine, Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs in the College of Public Health and Director of AIMS, College of Medicine. She is currently the Associate Dean of Faculty Recruitment, Development, and Retention. Among her many achievements and recognitions within USF Health, Ms. Knaus has implemented significant initiatives at USF including the Employee Assistance Program, Victim’s Advocate Program, Teaching Enhancement Program, Leadership Development Program and Office of Diversity. At the AAMC, Ms. Knaus was a co-founder of their Southern Region Annual Professional Development Conference for Women in Medicine.
