Dean's Faculty & Staff Community Building Events

1. "Lunch with Your Colleagues"
   • Purpose: Provide opportunity for ranked faculty to network with their colleagues and to foster collaboration.
   • Format: 11:30 – 1:00 pm
   • Place: TBD (COPH)
   • Program: 10 ranked faculty will give a 3-5 minute presentation during lunch that will provide information about their educational background, areas of interest in research and teaching and current scholarly activities.
   • Frequency: Monthly beginning October for 7 months (none in December)
   
   
2. End of Semester Celebrations
   • Purpose: Recognize and celebrate significant accomplishments of faculty and staff during the previous semester.
   • Format: 2:00 – 3:30 pm
   • Desserts
   • Place: College Atrium or Chiles Center Atrium
   • Program: Welcome and overview of college accomplishments – Dean introduction of faculty/staff and their respective accomplishments – Department Chairs presentation of Certificate of Appreciation - Dean
   • Frequency: Three per year, end of each semester
   
   
3. Ranked Faculty Coffee with the Dean (Assistant, Associate and Full Professors)
   • Purpose: Informal interaction with the Dean
   • Format: 8:30 – 9:30 am
   • Breakfast breads and fruit
   • Place: Dean's Conf Room
   • Program: Informal conversation with the Dean
   • Frequency: One per year
   
   
4. New Faculty Coffee with the Dean (new faculty up to 1 yr)
   
   • Purpose: Informal interaction with the Dean
   • Format: 8:30 – 9:30 am
   • Place: Dean's Conf Room
   • Program: Informal conversation with the Dean
   • Frequency: Every semester

   • Purpose: Informal interaction with the Dean
   • Format: 8:30 – 9:30 am

6. Staff Coffee with the Dean
   • Purpose: Informal interaction with the Dean
   • Format: 8:30 – 9:30 am

7. USF Service Reception
   • Purpose: Celebration and Recognition of Service at USF
   • Format: 4 - 6 pm Reception
   • Hors d` Oeuvres and Wine
   • Place: College Atrium
   • Music: USF College of Music Students
   • Program: Recognition of 5-year Milestones
   • Gifts of Appreciation
   • Frequency: One per year, Fall Semester
