Welcome to the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the College of Public Health at USF. We invite you to explore our website and learn more about the disciplines of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and the courses and programs we offer. Biostatistics and Epidemiology provide public health researchers with the tools they need to conduct quality research, and ultimately improve the life of the population. Our faculty are strongly committed to teaching and student mentoring and are successfully engaged in nationally recognized research programs. Please take the time to peruse our faculty web pages through the Faculty and Staff link to the left, and learn more about specific research interests of the faculty. The Department offers MPH, MSPH and PhD programs in epidemiology and in biostatistics. We also provide an online MPH in Epidemiology for students who are not able to physically attend classes at USF.

In addition to our department specific courses, we have a number of popular MPH programs with dual concentrations, including dual concentrations in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Global Health Practice, Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases and Epidemiology and Maternal and Child Health. Certificate programs also provide students and health professionals with the opportunity to refine their Epidemiology and Biostatistics skills in a number of areas: Epidemiology; Biostatistics; Concepts and Tools of Epidemiology; Applied Biostatistics; Epidemiology of Infectious Disease; and Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology. To meet the needs of distance students, a number of these are offered online.

Please take a few minutes to explore our website and discover the many rewards of a career in Epidemiology or Biostatistics. We think you will find the Department and the College offer excellent opportunities for you to pursue your career in public health. Do not hesitate to contact us if you need more information.
