- Stigma and Tuberculosis among Haitian Populations
Dr. Jeannine Coreil, Chair of Community and Family Health in COPH, has been working with Hôpital Ste. Croix in Haiti for the past ten years. Her recent research is designed to examine the stigma surrounding TB. This stigma undermines the capacity to control the disease and to reduce TB’s disabling impact on those suffering. This research is funded by the National Institutes of Health, Fogarty International Center for $725,698 for four years to June, 2007.
