Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is comprised of representatives of each charter member organization, key maternal and infant health care stakeholder organizations, staff, a family representative, and chairs of our maternal and infant health subcommittees. The Steering Committee will establish operating rules for decision-making processes and strategic planning. The primary responsibility of the Steering Committee will be to identify and address statewide priority perinatal QI issues.

Subcommittees

Maternal Health Advisory Subcommittee: This Subcommittee will be established by the Steering Committee to propose and research potential QI initiatives aimed at advancing the health care outcomes of Florida’s mothers. This committee will be involved in the selection, oversight and monitoring of maternal health care quality improvement (QI) initiatives.

Infant Health Advisory Subcommittee: This Subcommittee will be established by the Steering Committee to propose and research potential QI initiatives aimed at advancing the health care outcomes of Florida’s infants. This committee will be involved in the selection, oversight and monitoring of infant health care quality improvement (QI) initiatives.

Project Advisory Committees

Advisory Groups for each of our maternal and infant health projects will consist of a Chair or Clinical Lead and other clinical advisors from nurses to physicians to midwives to lactation consultants to develop, champion and monitor the implementation and evaluation of the initiatives. These advisory group members provide technical assistance and educational presentations to participating hospitals.
