Job Experiences in Nursing Homes
Welcome to the informational webpage for the USF research study: Job Experiences in Nursing Homes. This research study is being conducted by staff of the Harrell Center, located within the Department of Community and Family Health at the University of South Florida College of Public Health, located in Tampa, Florida and is funded by the Sunshine Education and Research Center.
Our research study seeks to explore the job and workplace experiences of personnel employed at nursing home facilities across the U.S. We are interested in the perspective of nursing home employees in varied positions. In particular, we are interested in your perception of safety related issues such as exposure to violence or verbal abuse from residents or co-workers.
Findings from this study will be used to develop recommendations around issues of workplace safety in nursing home environments and will contribute to the development of protocols for a large national study on these issues.
Participation in this study is not invasive and only involves your response to questions that will be asked via telephone or in-person interview. Interviews will last approximately one hour and will be scheduled for a time that is convenient for you.
Please note: Participation in this study is completely confidential and voluntary.
To ensure your anonymity, no identifying information will be used and participants are free to withdraw from study participation at any time.
Study information will NOT be shared with your employer.
