Maternal and Child Health is concerned with:

  • the health and well-being of all mothers and children
  • the development of effective MCH policies and programs, as well as their evaluation
  • research into MCH issues and the most effective measures of addressing them
  • the education of MCH professionals, those in training and those already in practice
  • the dissemination of pertinent MCH data to accomplish the above.
