Bio
Roger A. Boothroyd, Ph.D., is a Professor and Associate Chair of the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy at Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute, University of South Florida where he has worked for the past fourteen years. He is currently the PI on a $1.1 million a year contract with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration examining among other issues, how Medicaid mental health managed care impacts beneficiaries' access, quality, and outcomes of care. He also is the PI on a project funded by the NIMH to study of the maximum individualized change analytic procedure as an alternative to more traditional multivariate procedures.
Dr. Boothroyd was formerly a Research Scientist with the New York State Office of Mental Health where he worked for eight years, directing several federally-funded research and demonstration projects. He received his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Statistics from the State University of New York at Albany, specializing in measurement, evaluation, and research design. He currently teaches graduate courses in research, statistics, and program evaluation focused on public sector program evaluation and research.
