I am a dual MPH/MSW student with a concentration in Behavioral Health. Currently, I am working with individuals who suffer from co-occurring mental disorders and are involved with the criminal justice system. My ideal job is to blend the roles of public health and social work in a community-based mental health agency setting. My favorite thing about BHSO is the friendship and camaraderie that is shared between members.
My name is Alexandra Albizu and I am a second year MPH student with a concentration in behavioral health. My research interests are varied and include dissemination and implementation research, psych-oncology, family health, and adolescent behavioral health. In my spare time, I love to be out and about exploring the Tampa bay area.
Hi my name is Karla Ali and I am a second year MPH student in the Behavioral Health concentration. I am currently in the process of ordering t-shirts for BHSO. This process however is a little more complicated than it seems. Despite this I know the final product will be great, for a well deserved club. The best part about being in this club is the events, there is always good food, for good people :)
I am a psychology major and a behavioral health minor. I am currently completing the Behavioral Health Minor field placement at the Preschool for Creative Learning at USF (a new site for completing the minor). This semester I have learned about research in Dr. Ruva’s lab, studying juror deliberations. I am completing a Psychology Department honors thesis titled Reasoning and Sequential Reasoning Processes regarding Hypothetical Observed Cheating. I am also taking two interesting courses to meet the requirements for my Bachelors in Arts degree, which I expect to receive this semester. With the BHSO, I enjoy participating in the fun and exciting activities that we plan and host. I also blog on the public relations blog, bhsopublicrelations.blogspot.com.

My name is Jess and I am a graduate student in the College of Public Health. By training, I am a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and hold a BS in Health Education. I worked in the public health field for 5 years before coming to USF to pursue my master's degree with a concentration in behavioral health. My current interests are in the realm of adolescent substance abuse. I am also an Institute Scholar with the Institute for Translational Research in Adolescent Behavioral Health, a program offered through the College of Community and Family Health (CFH). Outside of school, I love doing outdoorsy stuff to take advantage of the gorgeous Florida weather! Originally from Massachusetts, I've lived in FL for a little over a year and still have much to explore!

Welcome to all current and future members of Behavioral Health Student Organization. I’m an undergraduate student in the Behavioral Healthcare major, concentrating in Adult community services. This is my second semester in the program; once I graduate I do plan on pursuing a master’s degree most likely in counseling. I’m interested in working in the rehabilitation aspect of mental illnesses and substance abuse. I look forward to seeing BHSO grow and impact the community.
