Public Health Policy and Programs (Online Graduate Certificate)
This certificate is designed to serve persons who want to enhance knowledge and skills in management of programs and public policies that advance the health of communities and populations, and who may not be available in the local community to do so.

Admission requirementsThe applicant must have an earned bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited academic institution with a minimum 3.0 GPA and at least one of the following:
1. At least two years of appropriate work experience, as determined by the department's admissions committee, OR
2. Concurrent enrollment in a graduate degree program, OR
3. A graduate degree
Application Process for EnrollmentCall the Graduate Certificate Office at (813) 974-2442 or visit their website at http://www.gradcerts.usf.edu/ to obtain the appropriate applications. Students should submit a resume and copy of diploma with the application, and an undergraduate transcript with the application. In addition, to the application forms please submit:
For international students, a copy of their degree that is equivalent to the Bachelor's degree along with a certified copy of their transcript is required. Graduate students from the College of Public Health are exempt from the above requirements except for the Departmental Approval Form.
- Official transcripts showing attainment of the bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- A 250-word letter of interest stating why you wish to pursue this course of study
- A copy of the diploma
Standardization Test Requirements There are no specific test requirements.
Application of Certificate Courses Towards Graduate DegreeUp to 12 credit hours may be applied contingent upon departmental approval.
Registration Process for Individual CoursesFollow the accepted procedure for graduate level courses. First, consult with the certificate program advisor and obtain an electronic course permit if necessary. Then go to http://usfonline.admin.usf.edu/, the link to OASIS, USF's on-line registration system. Follow directions given on-line.
Time Limit for Completion of Certificate Three (3) year maximum

Course locationThis certificate is offered through Web-based courses that do not require scheduled class times.
