Some Courses fill quickly. Also, potential registration problems can take time to resolve.

State of Florida Employees

State of Florida Employees can enroll for up to 6 credit hours of courses per term on a space-available basis.

On-Campus and Online Courses: The College of Public Health (COPH) honors tuition waivers for state of Florida employees on a seat available basis for its traditional on-campus and online courses.

To register for courses using the State Employee Tuition waiver,

  1. Select course from campus or web schedule.  Students interested in campus courses will use the regular reference number. Students interested in online courses must use the traditional section for an online course.
  2. Depending on your student status, follow registration procedures for Degree, Non-Degree or Continuing Non-Degree seeking student.
  3. Register in OASIS during specified times allotted for State Employee registration. Registration for State of Florida employees begins at 5:01 pm EST the Thursday prior to Semester start. (Dates are subject to change- see Important Dates link below) Students registering prior to these times cannot use the State Employee Tuition Waivers. See Important Dates and OASIS instructions.   4. Tuition Payment: In lieu of tuition payment, complete and submit the original signed State Employee Tuition Waiver form to USF Cashier’s Office by specified tuition deadline. State Employees are still responsible to pay any additional fees associated with registration. State Employees are required to pay the Off-Campus fee for all COPH online courses. Additional fees apply to non-degree graduate certificate students who are accepted in fully online certificate programs. To verify what is owed, students can log into OASIS  and pay online.

Note: University of South Florida employees are not considered State of Florida employees. For information about tuition assistance for USF employees, go to:  USF Employee Tuition Program. USF employees should use the traditional course reference numbers when registering for COPH online courses.
