Orientation for New Members of the USF Health Community
Professional Integrity Office
All new Faculty, Residents, and Staff of the clinical departments of the College of Medicine and its Faculty Practice Plan (USFPG, UMSA and MSSC) are required to attend Professional Integrity Orientation provided by the Professional Integrity Office (PIO).
Faculty & Other Healthcare Providers
For new Faculty Physicians or other healthcare providers (i.e. ARNP, PA), the PIO provides an individualized training session tailored to that provider with in-depth review of the documentation, coding and billing policies.  College policy requires all new providers attend orientation prior to submission of any billing.  The respective clinical department of each new faculty is responsible for coordinating the scheduling of this training with the PIO.  Contact us at (813) 974-8090 to schedule.
Residents & Fellows
Orientation is provided to New Residents and Fellows each June during the Resident Orientation coordinated by the Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME).  The GME office expects each Residency program to include a minimum of 1 hour of training in compliance annually.
New staff orientation is offered every other Tuesday, in coordination with UMSA/MSSC HR orientation.  This training is held in Suite 530 (Boardroom) of the University Professional Center located at 3500 E. Fletcher Avenue.  Orientation starts at 3:00pm and runs approximately 1 hour.  This group training is interactive and focuses on the Code of Conduct.  College policy requires all new hires attend orientation within 30 days of hire date.  An online tutorial is being developed that will enable new staff members to complete this required training at their convenience.
