Who We Serve

For a brief description of what to expect when you sign up, please take a moment to read PaperFree Florida - Brief Overview.
  1. PPCPs. While our services are open to everyone, the federal grant funds awarded to PaperFree Florida are specifically designated by the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) to be used only for subsidizing services we provide to “Priority Primary Care Providers” (PPCPs). This means that PaperFree Florida can provide a limited number of PPCPs with select consulting services at no cost. The free services are designed to help PPCPs achieve Stage 1 Meaningful Use.ONC has defined a PPCP as a health care provider who meets all of the following criteria:

    1. A physician or other clinician with prescription privileges,
        Includes M.D., D.O., A.R.N.P., P.A., and C.N.M.W.

    2. Practicing one or more primary specialties,
Limited to Adolescent Medicine, Family Medicine, General Practice, Geriatrics, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Ob/Gyn, or Pediatrics only

    3. In a “priority” setting.
Defined as a solo practice, small private practice with 10 or fewer providers, Rural Health Clinic, Community Health Center, Federally Qualified Health Center, or some other underserved setting.

  2. Specialists. PaperFree Florida categorizes providers practicing in all other specialties and settings as “specialists.” This is due to the fact that we are prohibited from using any grant funds to cover the costs of services we provide to healthcare providers that do not meet all criteria described above, so we must charge specialists for our services.
