Space Management

This section provides management and oversight of facility space in the campus space inventory system (IFIS) for the USF HEALTH organization. OFM coordinates and facilitates annual updating of the record space inventory in the system for all of USF HEALTH. Also, OFM facilitates space assignments, i.e. offices, laboratories, Pending actions for this section are the purchasing and loading a selected Space Software package to manage and monitor physical space usage, occupancy/department assignment, equipment inventory, and maintenance history. OFM is responsible for making space recommendation assignments to the USF HEALTH Vice President based on, but not limited to the following; a requested space’s size (relative to similar spaces), relative department space capacities, and possible collocation of the space with like functions or departments.  Requests for the use of space are submitted on a Facilities Space Use Request Form (Facilities Space Use Request Form).  These requests are reviewed by the USF Health Space Committee.  Recommendations are then made to the Vice President via the USF Health Space Committee.  This Committee is made up of key representatives of the USF Health organization and is chaired by the CFO.  Minutes of the monthly meetings can be found below:
