• Tampa General Hospital (TGH)

  TGH is a Level I trauma center located within a medically underserved area in Hillsborough County. TGH serves a 12-county region with a population in excess of 4 million in West Central Florida. TGH serves as the primary teaching hospital for the University of South Florida College of Medicine. As a teaching facility, TGH partners with academic and community institutions to support both its teaching and research missions.

• Bayfront Medical Center

  Bayfront Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit hospital, employing more than 2,000 team members. They have nearly 650 physicians on staff, representing a wide variety of medical specialties. • James A. Haley Veterans Administration Medical Center (JAHVAMC)

  JAHVAMC is a 327-bed tertiary care teaching hospital, with 300 authorized nursing home care beds (180 in Tampa, and 120 beds in Orlando) and is dedicated to providing the highest quality of patient care and services to veterans in Central Florida. The full range of inpatient and outpatient care is provided including Medicine, Surgical, Psychiatry, Neurology, as well as Spinal Cord Injury Service, a Polytrauma center and Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center.

  JAHVAMC Tampa and its satellite clinics make up the busiest VA facilities in the nation. The hospital was activated in 1972 and is affiliated with the University of South Florida College of Medicine. It is the first MAGNET VA hospital and has been designated as a Poly Trauma Unit for treatment of Iraq war injuries, (James A. Haley VA Medical Center, 2006).

• H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute

  The H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute (Moffitt) is a large not for-profit National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center institution. Moffitt is licensed for 162 beds. Clinical facilities include a blood and marrow transplant unit, 11 operating rooms, and diagnostic radiology, MRI, PET and digital mammography capabilities, plus radiation therapy with 5 linear accelerators.

  In 2001, the National Cancer Institute awarded Moffitt the status of a Comprehensive Cancer Center in recognition of its excellence in research and contributions to clinical trials, prevention and cancer control.

• All Children’s Hospital

  All Children’s Hospital is the only specialty licensed children’s hospital on Florida’s west coast. Founded in 1926, All Children’s has grown into a leading pediatric referral center that is dedicated to advancing treatment, education, research, and advocacy in child health.   Dr. Hiscox has been a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for six years. She provides anesthesia care for pediatric patients undergoing general and cardiac surgical procedures at All Children’s Hospital. Dr. Hiscox is currently on the Continuing Education Committee of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, as well as the Communications Committee of the Florida Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Her clinical research interests include congenital heart surgery on neonates and infants, decreasing risks of neonatal bleeding after CPB, and pediatric cardiac anesthesia.

  LRMC, a not-for-profit facility, has served Lakeland and the surrounding communities for more than 80 years.   The Tampa Shriners Hospital for Children is a $30 million, 60-bed pediatric orthopaedic hospital serving children in Florida, southern Georgia and the Caribbean free-of-charge.   Dr. Lynne Carr Columbus is currently the President of Gulf Coast Pain Management, a multidisciplinary pain center. She attended Vanderbilt University for her undergraduate training. She obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she stayed to complete her internship. She did her residency training in Anesthesiology at Hahnemann University and the University of Cincinnati. She is a board-certified Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Specialist. She is an alternate Trustee for the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and serves on their Medicare Committee.

  She is a very active national speaker for multiple Pharmaceutical companies. She has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Physicians Practice Magazine, Medical Economics Magazine and other business magazines. She has had multiple guest appearances with the local news programs regarding pain related topics. Her practice was nominated as 2005 Women’s Practice of the year (solo and group) by Florida Medical Business News.

  She currently serves as a member of the Pinellas County Prescription Drug Advisory Board and serves as an expert witness for the Florida Department of Health Prosecution Unit.

  The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System serves the healthcare needs of America's Veterans in West Central and Southwestern coastal Florida by providing primary care, specialized care, and related medical and social support sources.   Jim Peterfeso received a BSN from the University of Minnesota in 1984. He received his Nurse Anesthesia Certification from the Minneapolis VA School of Anesthesia and earned a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction in Allied Health from the University of Saint Thomas, Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1991. He has been employed with the Department of Veterans Affairs since 1986. He was commissioned into the United States Army Reserve Nurse Corps from 1989 until 1997.

  Mr. Peterfeso has been a clinical and didactic instructor in anesthesia at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center from 1991 through 2004. He has been a clinical instructor/clinical coordinator at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center since 2004.
