Research Residencies

The Research Center at the College of Nursing has implemented a Research Residency program to work with local hospitals and health care facilities in the greater Tampa Bay area. The goal of this program is to facilitate research activities with College of Nursing graduate students and staff nurses in the community. This serves 2 primary purposes: (i) to expand the research portfolio and capabilities of local hospitals and health care facilities, in conjunction with their requirements for obtaining and maintaining magnate status; and (ii) providing on-site (field) research experience for masters and doctoral level students.
At present, the College of Nursing Research Center has formally initiated Research Residency collaborations with:
  1. Tampa General Hospital
  2. St. Josephs Hospital
  3. Morton Plant Mease Hospital
  4. University Community Hospital
