The Office of Business Affairs and Technology encompasses a team which comprises Human Resources, Faculty Affairs, Budget and Financial Services, Research Financial Management, Information Systems, and Facilities and Space Management. We are committed to providing a robust, sustainable, and productive environment that promotes student and employee success. The Chief Operating Officer/Director of Business Affairs and Technology oversees this team, who collectively and directly supports the mission of the college, which is to create the nursing leaders of tomorrow and the research that improves health.

What We Do
Business Affairs and Technology is responsible for maximizing the success and effectiveness of the college’s infrastructure and for ensuring the fiscal integrity of all operations within the college.
Mission: The Office of Business Affairs and Technology will shape an environment that creates high quality financial and performance information that assists in implementing effective policy, management, stewardship, and program decisions. This mission is in direct support of the overall mission of the College of Nursing.

The College of Nursing activities are located in two USF Health buildings – the main building on the USF Tampa Campus has over 75,000 square feet of assignable space that supports the College academic, research and administrative missions and the CAMLS facility houses the Registered Nurse Anesthesia simulation activities in downtown Tampa.
In the main building there are 5 full outfitted technology classrooms ranging from 20 to 100 seats; 2 computer laboratories; several seminar rooms; an 8 room virtual simulation center; a 7 room bio-behavioral laboratory. All classrooms are equipped with ceiling mounted HD projector systems networked to the USF Health IT system. CAMLS offers classroom and advanced simulation opportunities to nurse anesthesia students and supports college-wide events and workshops.
Being a part of USF Health, all faculty, staff and students have access to wireless networking at both facilities; network and power connections are available at every seat. The college maintains open use computer lab hours and has designated study and lounge spaces for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as a newly renovated employee lounge.
The college’s Research Center is an 8 office suite of faculty researchers and administrators. The Bio-behavioral Research Lab is home to numerous innovative federally- funded research projects that include immunology, cancer, HIV, psychoneuroimmunology, and other health related issues and includes state of the art equipment in 2,500 square feet.Building Hours:
The standard hours of operation are Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During the academic session, the external doors of the building remain unlocked to 8:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
