- Dr. Mary Evans learned that her manuscript was accepted for publication: Ruffolo, M. C., Kuhn, M. T., & Evans, M. E. (2005). Support, empowerments, and education: A study of multiple family group psychoeducation. Journal of Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, 13 (4), 200-212.
- Dr. Maureen Groer was notified that her paper, “Immune and inflammatory correlates of rape,” was accepted for publication in the journal, Violence and Victims.
- Dr. Cecilia Jevitt authored the just released book chapter, “Legal Bases for Midwifery Practice, Neglect Practice, and Liability Reduction”, in Professional Issues in Midwifery, L. Ament, Ed. Jones & Bartlett Publishers.
- Dr. Linda Moody received a request to use her article published in Nursing Research (2002) on maintaining data integrity in RCTs. The information will be used to create a website to disseminate operational issues in research (the "how-tos") to a broad audience of mental health researchers around the country. The website is an NIMH-funded Phase II project.
- Nursing Instructor, Allison Edmonds, MS, ARNP presented her research, A Pedometer and Social Learning Intervention to Promote Physical Activity in 5th Grade Students at the regional conference of the Florida Association of Public Health Nurses at the Saint John's Convention Center, Friday February 24.
- Nursing student, Leile McKinney, with the mentorship of Dr. Elaine Slocumb, has learned that her Fall 2005 capstone manuscript, "Low Libido in Post-Menopausal Women: A Management Plan for the Family Nurse Practitioner", has been accepted for publication by the journal Advance for Nurse Practitioners.
- Nursing student, Shelia Orem, with the mentorship of Ms. Denise Passmore, has learned that her Fall 2005 Capstone paper “Duct tape, Baking soda, Yogurt: Would you prescribe these?” was accepted for publication in the online edition of ADVANCE.
- Doctoral student, Sabrina Robinson, was selected as a Section Liaison for the Public Health Nursing Section of the American Public Health Association.
- Doctoral student, Jessica Brumley, was notified that her abstract "Ethnic Disparities in Pregnancy Outcomes: Stress as a Factor" was accepted for poster presentation and the National Association of Hispanic Nurses Annual Convention.
- Doctoral students, Kelly Stamp, Christine Olney, and Sara Cobb were selected to speak and present their symposium, Nursing Research Residency: An Academic-Practice Partnership, for the 17th International Nursing Research Congress Focusing on Evidence-Based Practice this summer in Montreal.
