Admission Requirements
The College of Nursing at the University of South Florida offers an RN to MS program for Registered Nurses with an Associate Degree in Nursing. This program leads to a Master of Science (MS) degree with a major in Nursing with concentrations available in a variety of areas. Students apply to the undergraduate level first, are required to complete all nursing prerequisites, general education, and bachelors courses before applying to the masters portion of the program. Individuals who currently hold or will soon complete a Bachelors degree with a major in Nursing should apply to the Masters program. RN’s with a Bachelors in another field should apply to the NBM program.

Students wishing to graduate with both the Masters and Bachelors degrees must complete all USF College of Nursing course requirements including foreign language. **** Students with a Florida Community College AA degree will be considered to have met all of the USF Liberal Arts requirements except for foreign language. ***** The Adult and Family Nurse Practitioner Masters concentrations are highly competitive. Additional admission requirements and a higher GPA may be required for those concentrations. The CRNA concentration is not available through the RN to MS program. Please see |
