Curriculum | Admission Requirements
Graduate certificates are directed towards students in nursing who wish to concentrate on a selected area of study and do not want to earn a degree at this time. Many courses can be transferred to a degree program when you choose to continue your education.
Specialty courses are available in the following areas.
Clinical Concentration:
  • Pediatric
  • Adult
  • Family
  • Psychiatric-Mental Health
  • Oncology
  • Adult Health/Occupational Health
  • Acute Care
  • Gerontology
  • Gerontological Psychiatric
Non-Clinical Concentration - 12 credits
  • Nursing Education

Admission Requirements:
Admission to the Post Masters & Certificate program is competitive and is based on the satisfactory review of all required submitted materials and on the availability of adequate classroom, clinical facilities, and faculty.
Prospective students must submit evidence of the following:
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree from a National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited program, depending on certificate program.
  • No GRE score is required
  • Current vitae or resume
  • Current Florida RN license
  • College transcript, specifically showing degree earned
  • Certificate Program Data form
  • Graduate Certificate Department Approval Form
  • Non-degree-seeking student application
  • Attend orientation session for students new to USF, or who have not been a USF College of Nursing student within the last six semesters
  • 3 letters of reference
