• Developing intramural grants programs
• Facilitating faculty interaction between basic and clinical researchers
• Providing constructive commentaries to aide extramural grant submissions
• Recruiting outstanding new faculty

Train outstanding students, fellows and residents through:

• Development of new graduate and certificate programs in neuroscience
• Improvement of existing training programs for fellows and residents
• Continuing education and research training opportunities for clinician
  
  

Promote multidisciplinary interactions among program members through:

• Seminars by internationally recognized leaders in neuroscience
• Research retreat for the exchange of information among faculty, staff, and students
• Establishment of a local chapter of the Society for Neuroscience
• Electronic communications with members sharing new opportunities and information
