Jorge L. Lockhart, M.D.The Department of Urology at University of South Florida is dedicated to providing state of the art medical and surgical care in all aspects of Urology. Tampa General is one of the highest volume hospitals in the country for urologic surgical procedures. Tampa General has a comprehensive approach to patient care which incorporates innovative diagnostic, therapeutic and treatment capabilities. Our urology department has become one of the leading institutions in Florida in minimally invasive management of urological cancer. Our team includes eleven clinical faculty members, one fellow and fifteen residents.

The University of South Florida affiliated hospitals besides Tampa General Hospital include: The James A. Haley Veterans Administration , H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, and Nemours Clinic (Pediatrics). Here at USF, we are committed to teaching our residents become some of the best and brightest Urologists in the field. Each year we graduate three residents from our Urology program.. Many of our graduates choose to pursue careers in private practice, but some have chosen to accept academic & leadership careers.

The mission of the Urology division at the University of South Florida is to provide the best available, most technologically advanced training and compassionate care to all of our patients.
