Education and Training

Education and training for health care professionals and family caregivers is a priority of the Center. The Center Faculty conduct seminars and presentations throughout Florida on various topics pertaining to Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. 

Suncoast's experts are often called  upon to provide educational information to healthcare professionals in a variety of settings including long term care facilities, home health agencies  and businesses.  Depending on the location, duration and nature of the training, a fee may apply. The Center also conducts a  continuing education conference every summer in June. This program offers continuing education credit for health care professionals. It is co-sponsored with the USF School of Aging Studies and can be taken as a 3-credit graduate course.
