About AMA - USF Chapter
USF Health

About Us:

AMA stands for the American Medical Association, which is a national professional organization made up of Physicians, Residents and Medical Students.  As part of the AMA Medical Student Section, USF is dedicated to representing medical students, improving medical education, developing leadership, and promoting activism for the health of America. We strive to be the medical students' leading voice for improving medical education, advancing health care and advocating for the future of medicine.

Our main goals are to promote public wellness, community service, ethics, and health policy. In addition to community service, we aim to obtain and disseminating information for medical students regarding medical education, residency training, and medical practice. At national and regional conferences, we form a representative voice and influential advocate for medical students and their patients as well as form essential bonds with the Hillsborough County Medical Association and the Florida Medical Association in order to adovcate legislature vital to our future as physicians.
