Tampa General Hospital & Moffitt Cancer Center/James A. Haley VA Hospital
Two residents are assigned to Tampa General Hospital for a night float call system. The resident team provides coverage for Tampa General Hospital and teleradiology coverage for the Moffitt and VA hospitals. Residents rotate on weekly blocks beginning Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m. and ending at approximately 8:00 a.m. on the following Saturday. Each shift typically ends around 8:00 a.m. the following morning. Weekend call (Saturday and Sunday) is covered in three 12 hour shifts by the general resident pool. Residents begin the night float rotations after completing 12 months of diagnostic radiology training.
There is no night call for residents rotating at All Children's Hospital or the Baypines VA Hospital.
