Body Imaging Fellowship

Body Imaging Fellowship

The University Of South Florida Department Of Radiology offers a 1-year Body Imaging Fellowship. This fellowship includes Body MR, Computer tomography, diagnostic ultrasound and CT/Ultrasound guided interventional procedures. We have added an additional slot for the 2017-2018 academic year and are accepting applications now. We accept 2 fellows per year. We are also accepting applications for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic years.

The Body Imaging fellowship focuses on establishing clinical expertise in advanced body imaging and interventional procedures. The program is based at Tampa General Hospital, main teaching hospital of the University Of South Florida Morsani College Of Medicine. The hospital has over 1000 beds and offers every specialty, busy transplant service, and a level 1 trauma center. In addition, fellows will also have the opportunity to read cases from University’s two highly specialized outpatient centers as well as MRs from several other outpatient centers. We have a busy HCC management, treatment and liver transplant service. Fellows will get extensive experience in specialized studies such as prostate MRIs, rectal cancer management, pelvic floor prolapse, gynecological cancers, enterographies as well as routine studies.

The equipment includes more than 20 MR units including 3T, latest CT and ultrasound equipment which will expose fellows to a variety of clinical experience for private as well as academic positions after fellowship. Apart from excellent faculty, our strength of fellowship is volume, variety of cases and flexibility depending on need of a fellow. Fellows will participate in several interdepartmental weekly conferences such as liver, GI, GU, and tumor board. Ample opportunities for clinical research are available. The fellow will also have an active role in radiology resident and medical student education.
