The University of South Florida Department of Radiology offers a 1-year PGY-6 Body Imaging Fellowship. This fellowship includes Body MR, computed body tomography, diagnostic ultrasound and CT/ultrasound guided interventional procedures. We accept 2 fellows per year. We are currently accepting applications for July 1, 2016.
The Body Imaging fellowship focuses on establishing clinical expertise in advanced body imaging and interventional procedures. The program is based at Tampa General Hospital – main teaching hospital of University of South Florida. The hospital is over 1000 beds and offers every specialty, busy transplant service, and a level 1 trauma center. In addition, fellows will also have opportunity to read cases from University’s two highly specialized outpatient centers as well as MRs from several other outpatient centers. We have a busy HCC management, treatment and liver transplant service. The equipment includes more than 16 MR units including 3 T to open MRs, latest CT and ultrasound equipment which will expose fellows to variety of clinical experience for private as well as academic positions after fellowship. Fellows will participate in several interdepartmental weekly conferences such as liver, GI, tumor board that fellows are encouraged to attend. Ample opportunities for clinical research are available. The fellow will also have an active role in radiology resident education.
