Photo of Brenda Curtwright, PhDBrenda Curtwright is a nationally certified Speech Language Pathologist who holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and a license to practice speech language pathology in the state of Florida. Ms. Curtwright has over eight years experience assessing and providing therapy to children with pervasive developmental delay, autism, and other language based disorders. Ms. Curtwright has worked with school personnel, parents, and other community stakeholders to make recommendations for high quality services for children with autism in Hillsborough County Schools. Dr. Curtwright specializes in social skills and pragmatic skill development.


Saundra Stock, M.D.
Associate Professor

Photo of Saundra Stock, MDDr. Stock is a Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who has been delivering clinical care to children and adolescents for over six years. As Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at USF, Dr. Stock provides medication evaluation and management to children and adolescents who present with a wide variety of concerns.

Dr. Stock is an active participant in the development of practice guidelines for the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is a frequent lecturer on a variety of childhood disorders, including ADHD, depression, and bipolar disorder. Dr. Stock was named one of the Best Doctors in America in 2005-2006.


Mariann Suarez, Ph.D., ABPP, FAACBP

Photo of Mariann Suarez, PhDDr. Suarez completed her degree in Clinical Psychology at Wichita State University, Clinical Psychology Internship at Girls and Boystown, USA, and Fellowship in Clinical Psychology, Specializing in Pediatric Psychology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2003. Since that time, Dr. Suarez has been an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Psychology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH. She is board certified in Cognitive Behavior Psychology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Psychology.

Dr. Suarez is a member of numerous professional societies, including the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers and the Society of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. She has a special expertise in Motivational Interviewing, has trained professionals on Motivational Interviewing nationally and internationally and is the co-author of the forthcoming text, Motivational Interviewing with Adolescents and Families.

Dr. Suarez will provide developmental and psychological testing and therapy to children and adolescents, and specializes in the use of motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral interventions. Dr. Suarez is now seeing patients in the Silver Child Development Center, located on the main campus.
